1st bracket for boom pivot assembly roughed out and resting approximately where it will attach. Still needs 1" hole in the center of the arc for the pivot pin and trimmed to length to fit over the 6" piece of 4X4 tubing. (top view)

First bracket took about 15 minutes to cut out with band saw. Started to rain, so I stopped for the night.

About 4.25 hours so far.

Finished roughing out the second bracket and drilled the 1" holes in them for the main pivot pin. Here they are resting where they will be welded to the main frame after they get some 1"ID x 1.5"OD tubing welded on the outsides for the pivot pin to go into.

Here's how it's gonna look with the boom attached. Missing from the picture is the box I have to fabricate to hold the pivot tube. The pivot tube box will be pinned through the brackets that I showed in the last picture. The rusty L shaped brackets that hold the boom will be welded to the pivot tube box.
