Building a backyard Fire Pit

Ok I am a new member here and would like to submit my fire pit photo. I did not use my tractor to build it. However I will use the tractor when I move the fire pit to its permanent location. We use the pit often as the kids love to make smores.

Ooooh dually, that is a very neat pit you have there. How do you keep it so clean?

Thanks Rob I clean the ash out after every use. We just purchased this 2.5 acres last year and have a lot of trees to burn. Things have been moving slow so far with the clearing but now that I have this little Massey it will go much faster.

How do you fid those manufactured stones take the heat? No cracking or other unpleasantness?

I have not had any unpleasantness so far. we have been using them for about 8 months. I did notice some cracking today when I went out to take this picture. Natural stone here in Florida is very expensive so for now this was my only option. When we build the permanent pit we may go another way.
