Building a copy of Gordon Gould's land plane

JWY, welcome to TBN -

I think you'll find that most members (obviously not ALL :D ) don't have much in the way of formal plans, we just start with an idea, usually a combination of original, "borrowed", etc, do a rough sketch to see which pieces need to go inside and which ones need to extend, where it might need bracing, etc, and go for it.

Sometimes our welders come in handy to "put back what we shouldn't have cut off" - not that I would know about that

Some are lucky enough to have access to high tech stuff like lasers, water jets, CNC plasma's, - others don't, and find ways around it that work.

There are literally hundreds of pix on here from members who've built their own, try a search on the words land plane, grader, scraper, you should get enough ideas to get started... Steve

Could you give a link for the actual plans of the land plane? Thank you!

In another thread, someone posted these plans for me, don't know if they're GG's plans or not.
