That kind of stuff doesn't happen when you have a back hoe...!

And the deck joists laid out and a few more windows in. View attachment 578511

How are you going to run your decking? If you go from the building and out, then you have the joists going the wrong way. If you are going to run them parallel to the building, how are you going to deal with the decking being too short for a continuous run? With wood, I cut the ends at 30 degrees so they overlap and the ends disapear. With plastic, I always used put a board 90 degrees at the end, but it doesn't look like your joists are going to accommodate that.

Bob, the skeleton, was a find at Walmart last week. Halloween stuff on sale. I saw this gag a long time ago and thought it was funny. Yes it is only for whomever tears it down or decides to crawl under.

The wife has made the decking complicated and very expensive. We ended up with a Trex knock off. Wife wanted a "pattern" so she bought a bunch of 8 and 12 foot sticks and we are cutting them to fit (4fts, 8 fts, 6fts). A simple one day job will take us 3 if we are lucky. We are running parralel to the building (will have photos tomorrow). Eddie, are you talking making an "edging" with the boards T'd up to another board running around the edge / perimeter? I suggested that to the wife, she says she has plans on how she is going to finish the edge so it runs up to the edge. I thought your way would look nicer but I am so tired of fighting the fight.

I will get some daytime photos tomorrow... decking is almost done, wife wanted to get some lights inside so she did that today while I took care of projects I had been putting off.

Steel sheds are the go here. Very quick to erect as well. This is similar to what I will be putting up one day.

So here are the latest... I helped put up the remaining windows, she handled the lighting and insulation inside... A bit of deck to finish, and then the patio roof.
