To store the tractor and implements I needed extra room. Because our kids are getting older we also need more space to store more cars in the future. We now have a nice greenhouse but I would like some more space. To accomplish this I will build a structure of 40 by 48. The greenhouse part (48*16) will be on the South/East side and the garage doors will be on the North/West side. For the greenhouse I will use second-hand double-pain windows (from apartment buildings) that are cheap. I wanted a building that looks the same as the house and is very good insulated.
I started the project a month ago with digging a trench for the concrete wall. The wall will be 4 feet so we can keep the frost out. We (me and my sons) build the footing, but we hired a cribber to do the walls.
The picture shows the poring of the footing.

This picture shows the long arm of the pumper truck to fill the sonnatube to support the stairs going to the deck. Those pumper trucks are amazing.

Yes, Cribbing is making the forms for the concrete, that can be taken off later.

It's in the price of concrete. We pay Can$ 150 (US$120) for a kubic meter (about US$160 per kubic Yard). Hope the math is correct./forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
The pumper truck is included, so it is not to bad /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

The math is not correct. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif It should be US$ 87.00 per kubic yard

Alberta,

Been a while since I priced any concrete, but that sounds dog on good for the concrete and pumper truck /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif. You also have a great view there. Very nice.

AlbertaKubota,

I'm guessing by the foothills/mountains in the background that you are in the Calgary region? Nice looking place. I'll be interested to watch the progress.
