I was going to post this last night after looking at your site as a possible transition for the paint color change lines.
The one in the living room could be 4-6 inches deep but the one over the breakfast room door would have to be thin like the door trim or moved to the left of the door and go floor to ceiling, requiring changing the paint line location a tad.
After, looking at the mess that was made yesterday, I wouldn't trust these guys to do it, but perhaps the cabinet shop that is doing the kitchen cabinets could. I had suggested them making a piece of trim to match the color of the cabinets before we found out all the baseboard and casing was to be tan instead of the cabinet color in the kitchen.
