Starting to look good!
Why are you painting it, just to make me look bad?

Good looking trailer!!

Are you going to put a rail down the sides to match the front? It would give your trailer allot more strength!!!

I can't tell from your pics, but for me, I like lots of anchor points. Two in fron to the axle and at least one behind it on either side would be ideal. I only have one in front and one behind and keep thinking of adding more.

sandman I am painting it because it had a lot of rust . had to clean it an paint it. Eddie I have to anchor in the front and two on the side in front of the axle and one behind the axle.

Looking good, what kind of primer and paint are you using ? I always use RustOleum primer and paint with great results

Dave, when I did paint the paint was not oil based enamel :D
automotive paint will last lots longer and shine more but will cost more and for these attachments, rusteOleum is great and your trailer is looking fine and to all of you painters out there, remember that primer is porous and will not seal out moisture only a gloss paint will do that and shed water, just look at something in primer and when it's wet, the primer is last to dry
and two and a half quarts to paint my 25 foot D/O trailer at real low pressure

I kinda think Eddie is right about the need for side rails to strenghten up the bed. You only have those outside two, full lenght rails for support. I would suggest you watch the rear third of the frame when you load it for the first time with something heavy and decide if the "flex" looks acceptable to you. Remember, if there is weight on the rear and you are bouncing down the road or over railroad tracks, it might really stress that rear section. The front section has some advantage, because of the tongue support. I build a 20 foot long trailer similiar to yours and it was flatbed, also. I used five full lenght tubular sections the full lenght with two 6000 lbs. axles. I felt I even got some flex during big bumps on our highways.

MrJimi it is oil based enamel .

Catman I may put side rails down about 2 or 3 feet later .
