Great job !!! Could you list some rough dimensions? Slat spacing, angle of screen?

With the current hurricane, the cost of lumber is going to skyrocket!
I remember when Andrew hit years ago how sheets of OSB went from $4 each to $9 each almost overnight. And it never really went back down either..
I think I'll wait a few months before taking this one on...

GUYS,
I aint got a clue about the angle,i built it by eye ball construction company.The slats are 2by 4 kd spruce cut in half for the slats.2.2 inch riser screws,.I believe to have used about 15 2by 4 -8 fters on the hole thing.I STARTED SPACING THEM 2 INCHS,WHEN I GOT A few togeather we tested it,too many rocks that i wanted for ditch filling fell through,I took it apart and spaced them1and 3/8 and it was perfect.I 45ED THE SLATS SO THE DIRT WOULD FALL BETTER,leaving only a half inch flat spot. I F I WERE YOU GUYS, i would by economy grade,you have so many slats i dont think one would fail.( i work in a sawmill operation ,the job has its perks)The more wane the better if you get my drift.You should be able to build one for under 50 bucks easy.Also pick up 4 l brackets to stiffen the screen up.nOW IM NOT GONNA GIVE YOU THE HEIGHTS,that is gonna depend on your tractor,Do like i did and make it useable for your loader,and your hoe if you got one.Id keep it a foot shorter than max,for uneven ground,and you want room to...."twich it'
build one folks you will love it.I almost forgot,my 23 has a 4 ft bucket so i made it 5 ft wide ,so i can get in to scoop up the screened stuff.Its also high enough so you can put my atv cart on the other side to catch the screenings.I ADDED A 2BY 4 TO THE INSIDE SO I CAN DRIVE RIGHT in and pick it up and haul it off with no chain[after you build it you will see what i mean.]It is not so heavy you cant drag it by hand either.Thought about 2 by 6 constuction,but it would be exspensive,and over kill.One more thought:I see no reason i cant haul this over my fel on my trailer,it will probably go where BOTA goes

That's what I'd use.
A couple of thoughts on using a sloping screen like this.
If you scoop up a bucket of dirt from a dirt pile and dump it on the screen most of the dirt will end up at the front of the screen and a little of it will be under the screen because of the big clods in the scooped up bucket of dirt.
What I do is back a tiller into the dirt pile and till it up until I get enough tilled to fill the FEL bucket a time or two.
More of the dirt will be under the screen and less will wind up in front of the screener this way.

That's what I'd use.

The front legs are 32,set in about 6 inchs,so the edge of my cart can be put underneath it,to catch it.
The rear legs are 53
The screen is about 4 ft long
I didnt have any "clods" except a few grass balls
When the screen clogged i banged it with the bottom of my bucket,and it would sift again.
I didnt have any dirt to speak of at the bottom,just grass,rocks,and roots.
This design was absolutely perfect for screening my gravel,and loam.Mabey my dirt isnt as heavy as others.
STEVE has a nice screen there,and im sure it works fine,but i wanted a portable,and i can keep it in the barn to prevent rot,or warpage.Like i said before i can throw it on my trailer right over my fel and take it with me to worksites.
