Framing interior walls now and should finish in the next couple days. Working with my help/advisors on vac, plumbing, electric and getting spray foam quotes.

I am trying to determine what can be sold from our existing property, repurposed for the new place or given to family and friends.

I am very tired at the end of every day that is for sure, would have been nice to take this on when I was a little younger. But, it is starting to look like a house now and we are getting excited more each day, all the hard work will be worth it. More pics will be taken to share over the weekend.

Have been so busy, have not had time to post on progress. Our timeline is shrinking quickly, but things are picking now. We are spray foaming the house this week and will be doing drywall as well. While that is going on we started putting up fence yesterday and hope to finish by end of week. Also have to start the chicken house while we are staying out of house.

We should be starting finish work on house next week. I have a buddy who has been helping me everyday, not sure how we continue o keep going some days. Lots of alcohol is in the future for us to celebrate.

Just trying to get all of the stuff in the walls before drywall, network, tv, phone, speakers, security, etc. the days are long and the company that bought our current residence is starting to do work along the property lines and making it tough to keep the horses calm, we need to get them moved soon.

Here are a few pics taken today, will post more once drywall is done. Working to try and get far enough along by end of November that county will issue a occupancy approval.

Open cell in ceiling and walls, closed cell in the sunroom floor. Will be blowing in R49 (18 ") in open attic area.

How bid was the cost difference between open and closed cell? I know the closed cell is a lot more money, but you get a much higher R value with a lot less of it then closed cell. Plus there is the added advantage of close cell not holding moisture like open cell does.

I really did not get breakdown since closed cell was only used under the floor in the sunroom. But, from all of the estimates it was almost double if I remember right. Things are moving so fast and most days I am too busy and tired to store much in this old brain.

Drywall starts tomorrow, the house ended up being about 5200 sq ft with the garage, we only had this chance once and it is what we have wanted for a long time. So, going for all we can afford and have the time to do.
