Would love to hear how it turns out... either Positive or negative... Here's hoping for the positive  (oh, and don't forget the photos )

I have been looking for something to transplant trees for sometime. I found this thread to be rather useful in my research. I am currently tweaking the given specs/plans and am having one fabricated.

The problem I found with most stump/shrub buckets on the .net was they were built for skid steers and required an adapter to fit my 300cx loader. Which alone was more than the bucket.

I should have it in the next few weeks and will be eagerly awaiting putting it to use. I'll post results after getting a good feel for its usefulness.

Thanks for all the information and tips.

With the snow and ice we have had in north Texas it delayed my bucket by a week. Well I picked it up on Saturday. First order of business was to prime and paint, that took most of the day. I decided to give it a try on Sunday morning. Mounting it to the 3120 was a dream. Fit like it was made by JD. Even my wife was surprised by the ease of assembly. My first tree transplant did not turn out so well.:confused2: I was trying to get the hang of things but using it to remove the tree gave me the experience I needed. I then proceeded to my second tree and within a couple of minutes had the tree upright on the bucket and moving towards its new home. All in all I removed 1 tree and transplanted 4 in one day. Started with smaller trees and progressively got bigger. My last tree was about 10' with a 4-5" trunk.

The one observation that I made is that it is very difficult to see where it is. In relation to a tree to transplant or a tree to place. Once I had my wife helping with the location of the bucket we could easily transplant a 6'-10' tree in 20 minutes.

I have not taken any pictures. We were so entertained by transplanting trees that we did not take the time to take pictures. I will get some posted in the next few weeks.

I have decided that my next project is a carry all. Something that will mount on the back of the tractor on the iMatch and carry tools and a 55 gallon barrel of water.

Well I was finally able to get a few pictures of the shrub/tree bucket and fabricate the carry-all. The tree bucket is working very well and I spent last weekend on the carry-all. It is still a work in progress but has given me some experience in welding. The carry-all mounts to the iMatch and has a 2" receiver on the back in order to pull my utility trailer.
