You've got a separation in the outer layers of tire ply.

2 ways to take care of this.

1) Replace.

2) Pop the outer bubble and cross your fingers.

I am no tire expert, but I would think there is no way that tire would carry much load on it. I have never seen anything like that on a tractor tire. I have seen trailer and truck tires seperate like that. They were imediatly replaced. Good luck.

been driving it like that for a few weeks now.. i know because ive been wondering why it was suddenly rough on pavement.. i can tell the outside rubber is much much softer then the rest of the tire... im guessing that means that the outer ply and the bubble are not under the presure of the tire? think tomorrow im gonna drill a tiny hold in it and see if the tire starts leaking.. and if so just stick a plug in it for the moment till it blows.

I've seen them more than a few times, mostly on recapped semi trailer/chassi tires.

The ones that see the road get replaced no question.

Yard trucks and yard chassis just get the bubble popped.

Some leak, some de-ply even more and some nothing happens at all.

It's a tractor tire, pop the bubble and hope for the best.

There is a tire repair shop a few miles up the road from me. They repair tires that cost tens of thousand of dollars. Well maybe not that much certainly not cheap tires. You know the big ones that are 8-10 feet tall. Smaller tires also. Anyhow a shop that does those kind of repairs might have a solution. those big expensive tires have patch after patch on them where they cut out the sidewall and vulcanize the patch in. I had atractor tire fixed once. Worked great. I left that farm and came back a few years later to do something. Some idiot put 60 psi in the tire that was supposed to have less than 20 and tore the patch.

Take it to a tire shop where they can have a good look inside to see if there are no breaks that will pinch a tube. If all looks good in that respect have it tubed.
