Bump up lift capacity of L3400/LA463 Loader

On the basic L-series it is adjusted under the right floorboard where the loader hoses enter the main hydraulic circuit. The relief valve is on the bottom side of block. As far as washers for shims, I prefer stainless steel as they are slightly thinner. I have also been running 2700psi on mine since 2008 with no issues, spec is 2347psi for my particular tractor. Never exceed 3000psi.

Thanks for the info.
Now to narrow the location down a little more... On the bottom of the manifold that's located under the right floorboard there are 2 large bolt heads that stick down. I was under the impression that there was only one large bolt head under there but mine has 2. Which bolt head is the relief valve under? Is it the one closest to the front of the tractor or the one closest to the rear of the tractor?

Shims aren't a problem. I can pick up a few #10 stainless or zinc washers at the hardware.

Here's a pic of my hydraulic manifold/block. Which of the large bolt heads would the pressure relief valve be under?

It should be the one on the left when looking from the side. It is also the one that hangs down farther.

Thanks for the reply.
Both are even when hanging down.
When you say on the left, are you talking about the one closest to the filter or the one with the coupler on the side?

This kinda reminds me of The Three Stooges when they are all standing around and they all point to the right, which is all different directions because they were all facing different directions. Haha

Mine is different than yours, but I am guessing the one with the X107 on the head. The other one looks like it is holding a tube on. First make sure it is fully seated (some dealers over shim and then adjust by setting the depth one the regulator-not good), then pull it loose and see if it drags when afterwards. The one for the pressure regulator will not spin freely.

Thanks. I'll try the X107 first. My gauge should be here sometime next week.

You were correct on the PRV. It was under the one marked X107.
My pressure reading was right at 2200# and I added 1 - #10 SS washer which brought it up to 2600#.

I'm going to test it after the rain moves on and see how much of a difference there is.

Thanks for your help.

Still haven't got the chance to try it.

Still raining. 7" at last check.

Remember people, messicks will email you the parts diagram. Very painless, very easy, quick.
