I often use old oil on my burn pile. I have a hydraulic fluid change coming up soon for my tractor -- does (Kubota UDT) HF burn anywhere near as well for that purpose? Thanks.

The tip of a Cat Tail slightly dipped in gas makes a good way to light gasoline back from a safe distance.Bird said:Yep, I've used gasoline, but very, very cautiously. That can be plumb scary.

Another way is take a kitchen mach and drop it down the barrel of an empty BB gun . and fire the match into a dry cement block or brick placed at the source of the gasoline to be ignited.
The match hits the block or brick and the impact ignites the match and the match lights the gas/
