I Might also add , Make sure & wear a mask , because You could be exposed to some pretty nasty things in an old dumpsite . I got sicker then a dog when I got into mine . Lesson learned . Bob

My rule would be to burn what I can burn and bury what I wouldn't mind digging up if I discovered it myself. Old brick, tile, and concrete are fine to bury. If you bury iron, you might as well be throwing in money. You can always scrap iron and get something for it. My father used to bury old cars, appliances, and refrigerators. It drove me nuts! After he died, I dug all that stuff up and disposed of it properly. He was my father and I loved him, but I had tears in my eyes and was furious at him as I cleaned up that mess.

I would only bury rocks & bricks, and burn what you can.

If you bury wood, then years later it will rot and you will have a sink-hole.

A woman a few miles from my home called me the other day, and wanted me to come and look at her front yard....It was a mess.

about 4 years ago before they built their house, they had a dozer fill in the property and he covered up large popular stumps.... and now they are rotten and the front yard has big sink holes.

we had the concrete and block from the foundation of the old house burried in a 20' hole in the back yard.

but little to no wood or anything else but rubble went into the hole.
