Not the one across the front of my place .
I have a 15'' culvert and the ditch going into and out of it is 3or 4 feet wide and deep.
Either the ditch must be to big or the culvert is to small.

Are you saying That both the ditch and the culvert should be 15 inches ?
Or are you saying the culvert and the ditch should be 3 or 4 feet?

The answer to the two part question you posed is:
A) Why do you need to drain water?
B) Large enough to carry all the water that will be going through the culvert.
C) Why would you forget the culvert?
D) Large enough to carry all the water that the ditch will accumulating.

Personally, if you don't have a driveway going across the ditch, I would rather see it without the culvert.

A lot of people around here put a culvert in their ditch running the width of their property and then fill it over with dirt and plant grass over it. This defeats the purpose of having the ditch in the first place... then they complain about all of the water that runs off the road into their yard.

Now I'm interested to see how your ditch runs in front of your house.
Next time I'm over that way, I'll have to check it out!

Absolutely not. My yard is downhill from the road. There is no room for a ditch because of a stonewall along my front yard.
