These are all great idea builders to steer my thoughts on adapting my LP 1548 to the front. I now have the K quick connect for the FEL bucket so that is the first step. As I get and reject various ideas refinement is looming on the horizon. Appears now that a hydraulic motor on the 1548 vice a PTO arrangement is falling in line. Need to call LP and see what the optimum HP is for the 1548 as they indicate it is for a 15-50 HP tractor. The BX has 17 HP at the PTOs.

A while back someone was posting ideas on how to use the MMM PTO to drive a Hyd pump. Never did follow up on if he ever solved that. Seems worth pursuing if a pump can be found that will fit under the BX inline with the PTO. That is 2500 RPM output. IDEAS keep rolling. There is plenty of room on the 1548 deck to mount a tank and etc.

IMO, you don't have enough HP to run a hydraulic pump for a 4' deck. At 80% efficiency, you will have a little over 14HP at the deck. It will probbaly work for light stuff, but it will be underpowered.
IIRC, you should expect to spend $500-1000 on the system. Plan on a pump/motor ($150-400 each), $150+ on plumbing, $200 on a tank and a few hundred more on valves and fittings.

The continuing saga. Found the manuals and Parts list for the Bota system they use for the front mounted snow blade, snow blower, and power sweeper. I found the sub frame and QH assembly on Craig's List for that purpose new for $300 and bought it. I plan to get a snow blade in the future anyway. The mid PTO drives those so all those shaft parts are available. Any one know where to get a 5:1 speed reducer good for 18 HP to bring the 2500 RPM MMM speed down to the 540 +/- needed for the hog? LP is not responding to my inquiry on the mower engineering data.

Another direction to look in, Bolens sold a front mount flail (made by Haban) for their large frame tractors that should work, its already setup for a 2000ish RPM PTO, would just need to make the mounting system work and adapt the PTO shaft.

If looking for a 60", Kubota made a F3619 60" flail that was mounted on the F2000, F2100, F2100E and F2400 front mount mowers.

For adapting your mower, here is a 40HP gearbox that is rated for 1000RPM input: 40 HP OMNI GEAR ROTARY CUTTER GEARBOX 250618

Certain models of the BX in Europe are available with Cab and front hitch. I believe they are sold as municipal tractors (aka Kommunaltraktoren). There might be some ideas on this by searching under Kommunaltraktoren and Flail or mower

Heres a BX Kommunal with front triangle hitch, not sure if there is PTO, but I suspect that they are driving the attachments via hydraulic

The hitch is made by Kova but it is a Kubota part
