Bush Hog vs Kubota FEL

I just priced a B7510 with a FEL and the dealer prefers to provide a Bush Hog FEL rather than the Kubota. It comes with a 60" bucket vs the 48" inch Kubota LA302. He said you get more for your dollar with the Bush Hog and comparing the specs, he appears to be correct. Anyone have any experience with this combo? Total price quoted with FEL was 12,900.

My 2 cents would go like this. Does it go on and off as easy as the Kubota? Does it cycle as fast as the Kubota? Does resale play a big part in your decision? If you answered yes to the first two and no to the second, the Bush Hog would sound like the better choice. I think folks will be a bit more likely to pay more for a Kubota loader if you were to ever sell it.

Don't forget that the dealer profit margin is probably much higher on the Bush Hog even though it is less expensive than the Kubota loader.

And another thing. Make sure the dealer will stand behind any warranty issues with the tractor if Kubota fails to honor a warranty issue that was due to the non-Kubota loader. Get it in writing.

When I bought my L3130 last year the loader that was on it was a BH. It seemed to operate slow compared to the Kubota loader I had on my B7500. I moved on down the line and tried out a Kubota loader on a different tractor (had the Ags though) and it worked MUCH quicker... something that was important to me. He swapped them at no difference in his price.

I dont know about your that tractor but I know mine will grab more debris in my 48" bucket than I can safely drive with on my bx. Being able to grab more is nice but if its material with weight you are not going to get far

Have you looked at the Woods FEL for the tractor. It might be a better option than the Bush Hog or the OEM FEL.
