I have to put my two cents in too! I worked for New Holland for 37 yrs and loved it when others called a Hesston or Deere mower conditioner a "Haybine" but I hated when they called our Skid Steer Loader a "Bobcat".

I need a laugh today, we got news that our dog Sunni, the best dog a man could have has cancer, and will not be long with us.

Sorry to hear this. It's tough, but time is the great healer. Don't take too long to find a "Sunni II"

In that spirit, I suggest that henceforth, those posting to this forum refer to our machines as "Trahera", that being the original generic term from the Latin for a thing that draws or pulls.

That's why I bought a real branded Bush Hog (a Squealer). I didn't want to be going around calling things by the wrong name. It's like my late friend who was married four times. He made sure all his wives were named "Pat" so he couldn't make a possibly fatal mistake.

The kicker would be making sure you married them all on the same day so you did not screw up the anniversary!

you have WAAAAAAY too much time on your hands. I suggest you try cutting the same area as you do w your bush hog w a push lawn mower. After that, you won’t care what your “shredding device” is called..

I actually call it a Brush Hog. No company had that name. It’s just a term some of the old timers use. You say tomato.

I bought a bush hog one time, it ended up being a POS so I switched to a "Woods". lol So, now I have to say "rotary cutter" because no one would know what a "woods" is.

I understand and agree to a point... however if communication is the goal there are several types oh rotary cutters out there... Bush Hog brings to mind a specific type. We all do it all the time ... Bandaid... Formica ... Jet Ski i could go on but you get my point.

You are not being picky at all. I'm with you. Same for people calling all tracked tractors Cats and skid steers Bobcats. It's so indicative of the slack-jawed ignorant and lazy demographic that's so prevalent in these forums.

When I worked for Proctor and Gamble you were almost dead meat if you called it "kleenex" instead of facial tissue. I have a Sawzall you can borrow if you want to. Lol
