Yeah just bushog it. I usually cut 10 acres of grass that is 5-6 feet high on a yearly basis. Never had an issue.

tried to cut high grass with an 84" finish mower and "smoked the belts" however, is was no problem for my brush mower. point is, you can damage a finish mower if the grass is too heavy and thick

look at the name.

'finish mower'

finish mowers are meant to cut 'lawn' style grass .. not tall grass and weeds.

once you get shaggy grass and weeds , you use a 'brush hog'
