Re: Bushy\'s 110

Tags : I'll put my thinking cap on. Right now I'm coming up blank. I bought a rotary cutter. I'm going to try and use it this week. I've haven't taken the hoe off yet. Have you used the 3 point hitch for anything? I have about 60 hours on tractor. Had it serviced at the dealers after 50 hours. How has this worked out for you? I had a confrontation with the service manager. I got a little hot. I don't know if I want to go back. I might try another dealer. Although I hate to. I'll most likely be on here again this week. See you on the net.

Of course I have qestions and thanks for asking.

#1. The play in the swing function. Is it poorly sized bushing in the swing cylinders?

#2. Will Deere be doing anything about it?

#3. High pitch squealing, hydraulic noise at start up. Is this normal at start up?

#4. When traveling at road speed I feel and hear a momentary change in the transmission as if it is changing gears. Has anyone reported anything similarly?

#5. Will Deere be making available information regarding attachments such as augers for the backhoe, augers for front loader, front or rear trenchers, tillers size recommendations, information regarding the use of the various soil preparation devices like the harley rake etc. ?

#6. Is there a soft cab available from JD?

Re: Bushy\'s 110

Hey Guys,

You all haven't heard from me since the 110 was first posted.

I tested one last week and put the money down today. i've beenn lurking around off and on all summer watching your frustration over slow delivery. Last thurs they had exactly what i wanted, clamp, 4+1 hyd front and rear. When I got back on Saturday it was gone and sold! Just my luck! So today I put up. I hope I don't get your run around. the dealer asures mer 45 days. We'll see. The hoe was nice. the hydro howled, and the boom swing when off was about 5 inches back and forth. No time to note loader sink.

Re: Bushy\'s 110

Tag's & Bushy: I took the B H off this afternoon and installed the 3 P H. I was going to do some bushhogging. I can't get the rockshaft to raise. I can't see what I 'm doing wrong. I'm assuming according to the manual that all I need to do is adjust the knob done below the seat to how fast I want it to travel . Then I move the rockshaft lever, but nothing is happening. I can freely move the hitch manually up and down so I know there is no interference. Am I be missing a step? I will call the dealer tomorrow but I don't think I'm going to get very far with them without bring it there. I don't think they know more then I do about this tractor and that's scary!
My brother was with me and he thought it might have something to do with the valve control on the bucket seeing that it's a 4n1. I know the instructions for the switches is real confusing. I'm opened to any suggestion.

Re: Bushy\'s 110

Joe, on my L48 there is a nice big pull handle that diverts hydraulic power to the 3 pt hitch when not using the hoe. Since the 2 would never be used in conjuntion with each other, one will be off, the other on. While not having a chance yet to see a 110, perhaps you have a diverter valve as well. Anything in your owners manual?

Joereal.................

There is a switch that is sticking. It is located on the right rear side of the tractor where the shocket for the backhoe sits. It keeps the rockshaft from moving when you have the backhoe on. It is a tab of metal that when the hoe is on the tractor it activates the switch by resting against it. I guess that it does not return to the on position. Move it with your finger. Then move the three point hitch control. It should work. I had the same trouble. Bushy

Re: Bushy\'s 110

Rock shaft problem solved. I went to the dealer to check out the one they had on their lot. The mechanic took the hoe off. Their rockshaft worked. Since the mechanic new nothing about this tractor we both looked at it hard to see where there could be a problem. Unlike the green tractors there is a switch that will inactivate the rockshaft once the hoe is atached. I never spotted on mine. It's located on the right side looking from the rear. There is a strip of steel that pushes against the switch to inactivate it. This is done by the hoe once reinstalled.
The strip wasn't releasing enough tension to active the rockshaft on mine. I just used my finger to stretch it out and give it more flexibility. Problem solved. I'm thankful they had a 110 in the yard to trouble shoot from.

Whoodle::::::::::::::::::::::::::

Will you list what you are getting on your 110 and let us know how much the dealer is selling it for? You can get the retail prices and the description as well as the code numbers of the options on the John Deere Configurator.

Would you be willing to list the equiptment options by name and numbers and the price the dealer is selling at? Bushy

Good to here the problem is solved. Though it raises another question. Who is going to fix the 110 when something major goes wrong? Bushy

I have another question for you to ask the JD Rep. Is there information regarding attachments as well as the use of all the hydralics at the rear of the tractor. The six color coded ports.

The original brochure shows an auger attached to the hoe boom. Where do you get one? I also am looking for some info on Harley rakes. Would that do the same job as a roto tiller. I'm looking to make some top soil. Does the Harley rake fit on the front or back? Will it chew up sod?

I also have a drainage project that requires shallow drainage. I need to drain a large area with out a ditch. So as to be able to cross it with a tree planter as well as be able to mow it. Can you point me in a direction of some useful information, web sites, product names, links etc. Thanks Bushy

Re: Bushy\'s 110

Bushy,

I didn't really want to rock the boat on the pricing issue. I got the 4+1, 24inch bucket with quick attach, 7 function hoe hydraulics, hydraulic thumb with foot control, stabilizerguards, belly pan, block heater, r4 tire, 55amp, rear worklight, rubber stabilizer pads. It seems like my pricing was similar to Tags', plus I got a discount for cash. The best finacing they would do was 5.5, but then I wouldn't have gotten the cash disc. I can't recall what you said you were charged, but list would have been unrealistic. Maybe you could sidedle up to your dealer and get him to give you a screamin' deal on an implement as compensation.
