Re: Bushy\'s 110

Bushy,
My dealer had one of those soft cabs about a month ago.It didn't fit very well, and they suggested removing it when the machine was trailered. The other problem I saw with it was there is currently no glass windshield,so there is no wiper, and there is no heat available.I think it costs about $450 or somewhere around that price. It would probably work well if the machine wasn't trailered often and if they eventually offer a glass windsheild, the price is certainly more appealing than $5000 for a hard cab.

Re: Bushy\'s 110

Tags: NOt that I'm going and buying a soft cab, though one concern that I have with the hard cab is It's weigh. With it you are adding another [roughly] 1000 lb. We are getting away from towing it with a heavy pickup and any driver.
The local cancas man will make me a pretty much clear cab for 650, though wants to drill things. Juging from the boats he does it will be a custom looking thing.
I was thinking of do a plexyglass front windsheild with a hand operated wiper. Do you know anything about what aux. wires or what you can add to the fuse block. If you were so inclined to have a raidio or heat etc. Is it set up for add ons. Bushy

Re: Bushy\'s 110

Bushy,
I wasn't trying to deter you from buying a soft cab,I just wanted to let you know what it was all about.I would imagine they will release a windsheild with a wiper at some point for it.I also think that it wouldn't be too hard to do some thing with plexiglass (or real glass for that matter) you could probably fasion something to the rops with clamps. As far as being concerned with drilling holes to fit a custom vinyl cab,if the guy works on peoples boats, chances are he's pretty good, but if you are really worried, get some references from him and check out his work.As far as weight goes it doesn't concern me too much,I've pulled heavier things with my F350,It's got the diesel, and goes right along fine, and I often check and adjust the brakes on the trailer, but I also have a dump truck that I yank it around with most of the time anyway.

I think the cab that I'm getting comes with it's own fuse block,I just have to supply it with power from the battery.I also opted for the bigger alternator when I ordered my machine,so it shouldn't be a problem.

Tags: I understand, I like the discussion, the resource you and others come up with. We are in the informal stage of communication. I've seen the canvasman's work. It is top of the line. He is young but learned his craft from an old timer.
I think that I could make a temporary arrangement and do a persentable job of it though I'm alittle pressed for time. I may rough it this winter. Bushy

Re: Bushy\'s 110

Tags and others that are interested in the workings of the 110. Most recently I broke a sway bar stabilizer by picking up on the 3 point hitch with these stabilizers in the free teliscoping position. One caught on a piece of the sub frame. It looks as if it could catch on the pto shroud as well. Forward warned is forward prepared.
I Had it welded and ordered a new one for 21.00 dollars. Just the male end. Ordered it about 2:00 pm suppose to be here today at 9:00 am. That sound pretty good. Bushy

Re: Bushy\'s 110

I bent a stabilizer bar probably the same way you broke yours. I reversed it and shim it with the head of a sledge hammer and was able to straighten it out by lifting the rockshaft. It's not perfect but I was able to use it. I will probably break done and get a new one. It's still difficult to get it positioned to where I want it.. I have to keep in mine that I can easily bend it again or break it if I don't pay attention.

Re: Bushy\'s 110

Deere Bushy (now why did I write that?)

Please accept my apologies for not getting back to you sooner. I had two of the pictures, but not the third.

Thanks again

Dennis

P. S. Given all the posts about how long Tags had to wait for his machine, do you think we will ever see any pictures of "Spiderman"?

Re: Bushy\'s 110

I know,I know,it has been a while since I said I'd get some pics but there are 2 problems with that...1-I have no digital camera-2-I have no scanner, but am currently in the process of upgrading my cpu and also buying a camera at the same time.On a side note though,my cab is being delivered this week, the dealer I got it from said that they just installed one and it went very smoothly and the fit and finish are excellent.By the time I get the cab on I should be able to get some pics up.Yes, I had to wait a loooooooong time for my 110,but it has done all that I have asked it too and was well worth the wait! /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

P.S. hope all the other 110ers out there are doing well, hope to hear from you guys soon

Tags,

I've been waiting on the edge of my seat for your cab and my 110 which is supposed to be here any day! (exciting, but I'm not holding my breath). I was out blowing snow yesterday and dreaming about your cab as the temp dropped to zero and the wind whipped at 30 mph. If you've been out this season I bet you a ready for that cab.
