There ate also on line services that you can use for free. Do a search for vector drawing from photo or line drawing from photo.

Photoshop is definitely not free. And it has a significant learning curve. WAY (way) easier to just have whoever does your cards make your line drawing. It will take you ten hours; it will take them ten minutes.

Mike,
Thanks. That is what I was thinking about I sent the post.

I went back and found this photo I overlooked. I was looking again for a photo to make a line drawing. I think this will work.

Please do yourself a favor and hire an artist / graphic designer. Your end product will be sooo much more professional! If not at least copy someone else's business card layout. Search for examples online.

Also think about what happens when you trade your red beast for something yellow and heavy!

Although it is possible to convert an image to a line drawing via Photoshop's filters, the results are often much less than pleasing. Don't be surprised or insulted if a graphic designer wants to charge you for an hour or two of work to make a good line drawing out of your original photograph. And don't be surprised if they react poorly to you saying, "Whadda you mean? Just run it thorough that Photoshop thingy." ;)

Photoshop is like your tractor. It can do a lot with a skilled operator but it still takes time to do a good job. A business card should take no more than 3hrs. Probably worth $60-75

I've been using photoshop for years...finally got through the first grade. :D

A "real" graphic artist can do a WHOLE lot more.

Thanks guys for all the ideas. I found a printer in Conroe to look into working with the dragon photo. In the mean time, a good friend down in Houston came through with what I call the first draft. However, I asked her for a revision to remove the wings. So hopefully tonight she has the time to do that.

I like the way this looks, but the BRB is a 6520, not a 6500.:) I'm pretty sure Photoshop is what my friend is using. Where is Sanger, Texas?
