I'm sorry that you have fallen for the lies that allow politicians to make money off of the weather.

How about we tell those people that were affected by the weather that their government lied to them, and they are paying extra taxes to make their family members wealthy?

How about we tell them that the forests are being allowed to burn intentionally so they can raise taxes by blaming it on global warming instead of going back to managing the forests, which actually worked?

How about we tell them that their government refused to prepare for floods, allowed building in dangerous areas and allowed more homes into an area then there should be just so they could make more money on taxes?

The reason Homeowners Insurance has gone up is because of Government Regulations that make family members wealthy, help raise money for reelections and allow the big money contractors the ability to take over land for pennies on the dollar because of their connections.

The easiest way to know it's all a scam is to pay attention to the people on tv telling you about the weather, and how todays storm was the worse one since the last one. And then they will tell you a year that it was worse. Usually, it's in the 1950's or 1930's.

I hope you don't believe that the government is here to help you.

It's called Climate Change. Those that got rain now don't those that were in a dry area now live in a wet one. Heat also brings wind. So don't forget the extra wind damage that is occurring. Oh incidentally if you have a damaging weather event don't look for any FEMA HELP. Don't believe that? Ask Sarah Huckabee Sanders of Arkansas. many dead and millions in damage. All she got was a "SURE WAS BAD STORM WASN'T IT." The total damage of the storm was 6.25 billion dollars.

"In March 2025, severe storms and tornadoes in Arkansas resulted in $6.25 billion in property damage and at least 43 deaths across eight states. While the 43 deaths cited in the article specifically mention Arkansas, the total property damage was across a wider geographical area."

Snow was gone about a week early. April May Showers happen in NH, just this is going on for 2 weeks. We changed our trip along the Skyline Drive as sections are still closed. Government is not doing much to help those down there.

Mike You built several nice ponds as I recall on your ledge and rocks there - looks like this one is for the ducks?

BTW on rain - we go another 1.5" today - so for May we are close to 5" - very soggy - so no tractor time today - fixed the neighbors sump pump this AM. Then scrubbed our teak furniture in the rain - best time to clean teak is when it is wet.

Small duck pond. The material from the bigger pond was used to make pasture.

I nearly flipped my backhoe when I drove it in our tier garden when the back tire next to the wall sank in a hole filled with manure. bucket hit a 6" tree that must be dead, as tree came crashing on top of FOPS. No damage but FOPS>ROPS. I used the hoe to pick up and swing the machine away from the edge, then tossed rocks in the hole to save the day. I will cover the rock with sandy manure when I scape out the horse paddock.
I tore out old blueberry and thorn bushes. beats using a shovel. Now I got to clean up the mess.
