thanks. hinges are comercial stainless steel with needle bearings. same found on doors at grocery stores and similar places.

Hinges? Who needs hinges. Before I get in or out of my tractor cab I simply unzip those dooors and let the wind flap them open. I don't feel bad about not being able to golf in the Winter either because it has nothing to do with the two feet of snow on the fairways. Nope I can't golf because I have had to comondeer my golf cart cover and throw it over my CK-20 to keep that stream of snow from my face.

What a great idea! While extremely rudimentary compared to some cabs out there, your solution looks functional... I like it!

It really does a good job for me. Sure, a golf cart cover simply draped over a Rops canopy leaks air and maybe a little wind driven snow at my feet but that's why In the Winter I wear felt pack boots. I keep golf cart panels rolled up and that way I have full use of my FEL bucket and the rear panel makes for easy access to my chute direction handle at the rear for my rear attached blower.

Using the air conditioned model as I do and there is absolutely zero steam on inside of windows even though I spent $30.oo on a 12 V plug in defrost fan seen in picture (previous post) that I have never needed to use. All thhis going on and I blow the dickens out of that snow on a windy day with my self inside and out of the wind and snow.

Those cart covers for golf carts are $99.00 at Northern Tool and will last a long time with the heavier grade window panels and naugahyde flaps and roof. Northern puts them on Sale twice a year for $79.00

Dry snow does not even stick to outside glass unless it is packy wet snow but a backhanded Karate blow from inside out to clear window knocks **** out of the snow. In the picture you will see I have added a couple of firring strips or alumiinum angle pieces to support front of tractor canopy. Across that I mounted a 1 X 6 smoothed at corners to not cause wear to the naugahyde cart cover. This squares the cover out nicely giving some shape to the rig.

Sorry I can't sell you a nice factory built job for six grand but you will look good driving this air conditioned model off the show room floor just the same. To each his own no need for anybody to get sore about this it's just the way that works for me. I no longer get ice growing from my eyebrows after a good snow job.

No offense to you guys who paid for those beautiful crafted units. I work too many hours in the woods and I don't dare saddle one of those up because I know store bought units are on most outfits for keeps.

Too many limbs waiting to jab the lights out of a factory built model. That cover of mine is off in 60 seconds.

now thats funny right there, i dont care who you are. hey how much does northern tool pay you to advertise their cart cab. i know where your comming from with the expensive cab thing. thats why i built my own. sims are fine but way too expensive for what your getting. i took advantage of the resources i have and spent around 1200 bucks. i could have done it for less than half that. square tubbing and plexiglass was a cheap option too. many ways to get out of elements. could pay a guy to plow for $1000 a year and watch him from my warm couch but thats too easy. would rather do it myself and be proud of a **** good job. keep it funny side up!

Thanks 4bangdan.

But I must confess, I'm having a hard time justifying the $150 bucks in this thing I'm trying to call a snowcab. It works fine. It's just that despite living in an area that gets lot's of snow, I have yet to use it this season. If I can't use it for lack of snow what's the point of investing this much money in a climatized snow removal system. I think I will transfer the snow cab back to the Golf Cart division and call it a wash.

It was the thought that counted. As soon as I do the blizzards start in.
