Hi All--

I've had a Yanmar 1610D for a number of years now and feel it's time to get something new. Since I know Yanmar's pretty well and trust them I'm attracted to the Cub Cadet/Yanmar EX 3200 or Ex2900 (I don't care very much about the difference). Problem is I want it in Northern California and there aren't many dealers out that way.

Anyone know of a good dealer and price that I can get that-a-way--with a loader?

Also--I gather Yanmar is going its own way, separating from Cub Cadet, and that this might make it easier to get a bit of a price break since there's no middle-man (CC). Do you know who is selling under the new arrangement?

Any help much appreciated. It would make a great self-selected Christmas present!

Thanks,

Eric

Suggest you drop in to the CC/Yanmar section here on TBN where the corporate changes have been discussed at length. You might also get a lead on places to shop. Good luck!

I don't know how far your willing to go, but a TBN member just got a new CC/Yan at a buddies dealer in MI that he said was selling them heavily discounted, here's the link:

Ex3200 is basically a John Deere 770/790/3005 with a little bigger engine and a hydro transmission. Based on my experience with my two 770's they would be top notch tractors and should be considered as good as any Green, Orange, Red or Blue tractor on the market.

In case you didn't know it Yanmar still makes the 3005 and 4005 models for Deere and supplies the engines for the rest of the Deere compact tractors.

I've been playing with a EX3200 TLB for a few months now, and it's a very nice, strong machine. The only criticism I can give is the operators station is a bit cramped, might be an issue if you're on the larger side. :D
Sorry, can't help you out on the west coast dealers, as other members have mentioned I know there are some great deals here in the midwest.

Good luck!

Watch out for rinky dink dealers that sell lawn tractors and then branched into compact tractors. Most do not have the facilities or expertise to fix a larger tractor. Go with a bigger AG/industrial equipment dealership selling white, orange, orange, green, red or blue.

I personally love my Bobcat CT230. I was looking at CC first. I have a CC i1050 lawn mower and parts/warranty support was the crap. That stopped me looking at the CC compact tractors.
