Buying a Kubota L3560HST-LE

I am replacing a JD 820 (this is the 3 cylinder German tractor). The Kubota is close in weight and HP but the JD has more displacement. I want to go to a 6' brush cutter and I have a small breaking disk which is single row 8' with 24" disks. If anyone has this tractor do you think it will serve my purpose or should I go to the L4060. Thanks for your help.

It is a smaller engine but it’s rated for more horsepower. It’s direct injection also which gives it more power. The only issue is it considerably lighter than the JD but with ballast you can take care of that.

I plan to get rim guard which should make it at least as heavy as the JD. With loader and bucket it will approach 2 1/2 ton from what I can tell. Thanks for your response.

If the extra $ isn't a big deal, I would move to the 4060. The 4060 is physically a larger tractor than the 3560 is, it's not just more HP.

The L4060 also shares the same 4 cylinder engine as the 4760, 5460, and 6060.
With cab, loader, and filled R4's my tractor weighs in at 6459 lbs.

I am looking at them too. You go from a 3cyl to 4cyl engine and I imagine it would have a lot more torque. My budget is pretty well stretched as I started looking at a L2502 and keeping the JD.

I do like the L4060 but it's kind of overkill for what I need. The 4cyl Kubota engine in my 763 Bobcat is great.

Both the L3560 and L4060 can use the LA 805 loader, but some dealers pair the L3560 with the lower lift capacity LA555 instead. 500# difference in the lift, so something to watch out for when shopping out a new tractor.

I'm pricing them with the LA 805. Do you know which bucket is the best?

Do you have any problems with loading the particulate filter? I may need to run at less than PTO speed for some of my applications. Running my PTO driven sawmill often needs less than 540 rpm.
