Buying a new Kubota L3130

I have enjoyed reading everyone's comments. They were very helpful in helping me decide. I was looking at John Deere 990, 4310 and Kubota B2910, B7800, L3130 tractors. I showed my wife a few pictures of each and I asked her for her comments. She thought that I should look more at the Kobota than the John Deere. I went back for a second look and decided the L3130 HST with a FEL and R4's would best fit my needs. Operated the L3130 in the dealer's yard for a short time and realized this tractor would make a lot of my work easier and fun. Should be arriving in the next 10 days. The Kubota dealer is selling a lot of tractors and is having a hard time keeping up putting the tractors together. When I asked for a delivery date they say they would get back to me because I was ninth on the list.

Neal, I keep hearing this story. My dealer gets a lot of Kubotas in, but they do get purchased, often well before the crate even arrives. I was planning on selling my Kubota L48, prior to selling it, I was contemplating a lot of things. Brands, sizes and reasessing my needs now and future. I must admit that after trying several brands out and lastly the L3830 HST from Kubota, I was really sold. I'm not talking, its nice, it's great type thoughts, I mean, it was superb. I was thouroughly amazed at the quietness Kubota had achieved. Prior to even looking at the Kubota, I talked to a dealer up in Redding, California. He told me he thought the new L30's had been improved upon by Kubota in many areas, but in particular with an even smoother HST and engine. I thought the L30's to be nothing more then a new fancy L10 series and figured his end was typical salesman hype. A test drive, the first one on a Kubota L30, a L3830 HST. That pretty much sold me except I wanted the L3130. Well, I ended up with a L3830 HST and can't say the L3130 would have been any less impressive. It was one of 2 that were available.
