Do you know how to determine how many BX's one should have? One for each implement, ask LB.:)
I just discovered a couple of problems with this concept.
I'ed like to have a cab and heat so which one do i install that on .
Also it means 3 insurance policies to do the same amount of work.

1. Get hat, coat, hand warmers
2. Get Farm Bureau Homeowners which cover all home tractors at no cost.

I knew that was coming when I done it!!:)
Just ribbing. The more, the merrier! I'm all about anyone having whatever they want. Live's too darn short.

Congrats again on the upgrade. Upgrade? Sidegrade? Not sure how that works...smaller tractor but more utility. Cool, anyways.

Thanks. I have to smile when people refer to one tractor over another as an upgrade. I've had several different models and I haven't considered any of them as down grades or up grades. I might consider moving from an L3400 to an L3240HST+ as an up grade. Even BX1800 to a BX2660 an upgrade because of the increased price and the same machine with more HP. From a B to a BX or L to me are not up grades but going for a different machine for a different purpose. Interesting that the B3200 and the BX25 are about the same price at the dealer, not the Kubota build your own website, so no upgrade or down grade as far as pricing between them.

Gee, My BX23 TLB was the sweetest tractor I owned It could and would do almost anything , A real work horse, and sooooo very dependable. You won't be sorry with the BX23, I know I wasn't.

Thanks All.. the BX 24 is $13,900 and the BX 23 is $12,500. Both are about 100 hours. I drove the BX24 but have yet to see (other than Pictures) or drive the BX 23.

So far I have a pros and Cons List Going - Please PLEASE do not take this as a dig against your machine...I am just compiling some of this data and noting it because its important to me: Please add or change if I got it wrong. I should also note the items I need to do with the tractor.
1. Driveway snow removal
2. Access to part of my property at the bottom of a 30 degree hill
3. Pond excavation and maintenance
4. Log hauling up hill
5. General lanscaping - Field Stone retaining wall, back filling, land clearing, digging out stumps/rocks

BX23
$1400 cheaper
Loader Valve stays on Tractor -
Steel Body Parts
Better Tranny than the 24
No reverse Issue
Air brackets tend to break
Issues with getting back to neutral to start - important with my hilly property
Smaller Alternator
Lower FEL capacity
No tach
Smaller rims - lower grand clearance
"Older tractor" - less re sale value

BX 24
$1400 more expensive
Full Cat 1 3 PT
Hydraulic lines better protected
60 lbs more FEL lift
1HP more
Digital Tach
10 inch tires - higher ground clearance
Improved brakes
Plastic fender issue
No hydraulics at idle

Both need skid plates

The front rims are different diameters but the outside tire diameter is the same giving the same ground clearance. The rears are the same. The larger rims with their tires have better side wall support and the benefit is when using the loader. the larger rim tire combo will fit on the older tractor if you want.

I may be missing something but:

Kubota BX22 Specifications

6.7 inches BX 23

http://www.kubotatractor.org/kubota-bx24-specs.pdf

8.7 inches BX 24

Nope, Your not missing anything. Spec's are right. I also looked them up. That is the front axel clearance. The front axle is different giving better clearance. The larger diameter of the newer rims is also because of this and to fit over the outer knuckles. New fromt rims and tires will fit an older model but the other way is a real tight fit or won't fit at all. Outer tire diameters are the same

The plot thickens.....he is now getting a B7510 with under a hundred hours....I am not sure of what loader/backhoe are on it. Is this a better machine?
