The old Linde is now Praxair, the new Linde used to be BOC. Airgas had nothing to do with Linde but the Airgas W. Canada was bought out by Praxair about a year ago.

That's not quite true. In our area, all the old Linde's were bought out and taken over by AirGas. I still have the same account.

Praxair must doing different things in different regions. Most of the older Linde cylinders have Union Carbide on them which is Praxair. Strangely enough the new Linde which used to be BOC is named after the same Linde as the original Linde division of Union Carbide. Linde developed one of the first air separation units. I don't know if the new Linde/BOC is in the US or not. It gets a bit confusing considering there are only 4 major companies operating air separation units in the world.
