Buying into the stock market

Kind of meh compared to Fidelity's Contra fund:

And keep in mind that American funds have rather high (5.5%) up front sales fees, Fidelity funds have none.
I had contra for years. still have it in some small concentrations, be aware though contra is not a target date fund, and as such will have higher returns for "higher risk/ fluctuation"

Fidelity even has some 0 fee funds, that I have my son in as well.

I am reading these have front loading fee's of up to 5.75, its better that its a front load, but lots of funds out there without the load feed with the same typical returns.

Glad you found something you like though
Well, it's my employer 401k

Well, just as fate would have it, I moved the money Tuesday and by the close of the market today ( Friday ) the DJI had dropped over 1000 points, oh well I'm in now we will see what happens over the next few years.

These three "growth" funds have performed well for me over the last few years - and today's downturn only impacted the share price by a few $ at the market close today.

The bigger concern is a 20% "correction" is likely coming where these funds will drop with market uncertainty, but they rebound for better gains long term over 3-5 years.

There are quite a lot of people for sure planning exit strategies vs staying put if they are near retirement. I think a standard return of 7 percent means at least 3 years to make up a correction.

Yes - if you're in retirement or near term 2 years or less these corrections plus withdrawals, like RMD or otherwise can really hurt the overall portfolio.
