I think Kubota will require you to buy their insurance if you finance their products. They did when I financed my 3940 some years ago.
I've made a deal on a BX2380 and here's what I was told by Barlow - Yes, Kubota is going to require insurance on purchases that they finance. Some, but not very many home owner policy riders are accepted by Kubota.
In my case the rider would have been $103 per year. Basically only covered the depreciated tractor value if it were totaled somehow. KTAC covers several damage issues, including while the tractor is being transported for $162 per year in my case. I had no complaints on that. Of course the insurance premium from KTAC will be higher or lower depending on the tractor, implements and amount financed and term length I'm sure.
As an FYI I also looked at a Mahindra eMax. Insurance ran an extra $9 per month on the payment for a 60 month term. I didn't get that far along into a deal but I think that it doesn't cover much. Probably enough to satisfy the note if the tractor were damaged and not repairable.
