I am looking to purchase a new MX6000 Cab, and my dealer seems to be doing ok on price, but not very helpful in optioning out or just general assistance in options. So I have a few questions.

I need the third function for a grapple, but I am not completely sure on what rear remotes to get. He just told me the first is 1000, 2nd brings it up to 1500 and the third rear remote would be 2K total for all three. Is it wise to get all 3 at this time or can these be added later when needed? Currently I only plan on using an offset flail mower.

This unit will be located in northern Wisconsin, so I am wondering if the rear defrost and rear wiper would be a good idea for winter use. Has anyone have an opinion on those two? Same goes for the block heater, That seems $$$ but may be a well worth option.

What seems to be an honest price for having the tires filled? looks to be about 57 gallons per tire

Any options that are a must? I am coming from a much smaller sub compact and out grew it years ago. This will fit our needs great.

I really appreciate all the help and opinions.

Looking at online prices, that seems like more than a fair price for those especially installed. Yes you can add more later if need be, and it's not super hard to do but at the price you're quoted I'd probably bite the bullet and get as many as you think you'll ever want. If you get two or three I'd get one with a float option (that might increase the cost a smidge). Two might be nice with the flail so you can do hydraulic side shift and a hydraulic top link at least... at which point three isn't a lot more :D

You might look at a stick on oil pan heater, I think that gets you 90% (or maybe more) of the benefit with a lot less cost.

I'm surprised the drawbar is optional on the configurator. I'd get that, the grill guard (or a third party grill guard) since you're doing grapple work, and the bolt on bucket edge (again or a 3rd party one..).

I regret not getting 3 rear remotes when I spec'd my new tractor 9 years ago. I have 2 rear remotes, and with my blower or ditch bank flail I have to remove the hydraulic toplink and use a manual one.
Everyone's needs are different though. There are various aftermarket hydraulic options available to add a remote, or split existing remotes but I prefer the generally cleaner installed OEM remotes.
In your area I would recommend a block heater (I added one at the first coolant service for $70, and it's not a difficult job.
The rest of your list : defrosters and wipers will be useful, as will be the fluid filled rears. I had the dealer add all of these options prior to delivery.

Take a look at the bucket options - the HD round back bucket with bolt on tooth bar are a step up - not sure if the standard bucket has the bolt on edge capability? Also simple things like armrests on seat etc.

I have three rear remotes on my Ford with T&T cylinders. I thought that would be enough for the T&T and a drawbar implement to raise it up on wheels. When I got the ditch and bank mower, it was obvious I needed to do something else. I got an electric diverter so I can run the T&T on a single valve. That leaves two open valves (remotes) for the mower. It's going to be busy under the seat, but I won't have dangling hoses when pulling the top or tilt cylinder for the extra line set.

He quoted me for the HD Round back bucket, it is the L2296. That should be predrilled for cutting edge but I think the cutting edge is another option. I think the armrests are a great add, I will add that. Thank you for the input!

That's exactly what I was wondering, I suppose I can just order it with the three rears and be set for future attachments that may require them. wiper and defrost isn't too bad of a price tag, just wasn't sure if it would be totally not needed. I use a front mount snow blower on my little massey and it is fantastic, but being in the open isn't so fun. I figure if I did a rear snow blower the wiper and defrost would be really nice.

Thanks for the help!

Good advise, and I am also surprised that the little things are all options, but I suppose these are economy tractors, I could go with a grand but I prefer the simpler stuff. The MX isn't as nice but I think it will work great for our needs.

So my dealer has me quoted out with the MX6000HSTC with 3 rear remotes, #2 is a float, third function up front, rim guard filled rears, LA1055 Loader with HD bucket L2296 which is pre drilled for cutting edge. R14's, Rear wiper, Rear Defrost, 130a Alt, Side mirrors, block heater but not the CCV heat option.

Items I would need to add is the drawbar for hitch, arm rests, radio, easy to do after the fact though.

He has this unit on the lot, has had it about 6 months. Question is price, This is coming in at 60k plus tax. I am just wondering at this price point if this is a good unit vs going for the Grand L, my main thing is I need the lift Capacity for picking up trees.

Maybe I need a spend a little more on the grand? I am wondering if I will kick myself for not getting the HST+ and the lower fuel fill is really nice on the grands. Always a tough call.

Yes, get the 3 remotes at the time you order your tractor. I added three last summer to my MX6000 and it costs more than you are being quoted doing it afterwards. IDK about price that you are being quoted. I bought my ROPS model in 2021 for $39K. As for the HST+, I’ve never used one, never felt like the standard HST in the MX was lacking anything I need. Overall I really like the MX platform.
