Buying MX6000 Cab

I wonder if you could buy it for $5400 less and assemble it yourself?
I asked my dealer about buying a crated tractor a couple of years ago. I was told they couldn't do it, mainly because Kubota wouldn't honor the warranty.

Yeah, I guess that is one way to look at it, bottom line is 62k plus tax. problem I have is that there are 3 dealers near me, but none have the same units, to order one they all just give you prices from the kubota site. I just want to make sure I am not overpaying for something too bad.. ha!

Have you looked for private sales on Facebook?

I know you've only been talking about new tractors from dealers . . . But . . . I was just clicking around on Marketplace and there are several MX6000 cab tractors, well equipped, with VERY low hours within 100 miles of me. They're more in the $50K range but they're like new and one comes with a couple of pricey implements. If I was in the market for a tractor, as you are, I'd search for anything within 500 miles and see what I could find.

Even if financing is driving your thinking, there may be other options besides buying new from a dealer.

That is good advise as well, Can KTAC insurance be put on a machine if you buy it used? It is just a shame that the one dealer said he will sell at invoice only to turn around and charge all sorts of fees. My very close dealer just charges retail and that is all, no transport fees no install fees if you want to add something on it is the price listed on Kubota's site. So I think that is an honest dealer. I just need to decide on the MX6000 that he has for 63.5 OTD or the L6060 would be 72K OTD both with the same options

Rear Wiper
Rear Defrost
HD Buckets
Loaders
Third Function
3 Rear Remotes
R14's
Heavy Duty Altenator
Rim Guard

Or the the Dealer with the 2023 L4760 with the same options is at 62K

Big Difference from the 60hp to the 47hp or I start to look for a lightly used one. Didn't think it would be this tough, but at nearly 70k it is a big purchase.

Thanks for all the comments and feedback on this as I try to figure out the best path to go. I just love that HST+ I knew I should not have driven one!

Hard choice. I got partial to the MX. The wife said it looked beefy and simple as far as controls and instrumentation went.

You looked at them both side by side?

I don't think you will make a bad choice with either. Good luck!!

To me anyway, for what I do, the HST+ is worth the extra cash. It eliminates most gear changes during my work operations.

If you haven't already found out, there are other features on the Grand L's that the MX series lacks.
I particularly like the auto throttle advance and stall guard features. Saves a lot of fuel when plowing. I also like the Intellipanel, which shows among other things, the status of the DPF filter. Lets me know when a regen cycle is coming up.

I have, local dealer has the MX6000 and the L6060. Honestly I like the simplicity of the MX and it is more that robust enough, but after driving the L6060 with that HST+ and the way the throttle works is so nice, not sure it is a 8K premium though, this is the hard part. And yes I know the Grand has many other pros and only one con with the smaller front wheels/tires that I see. I am 90 % sold on the MX, I just can't justify the added premium for the Grand at this time.

I’ve got an L6050, and I poured over the available options and then sat down with the dealer.
I added the third function and three rear remotes, one with float. Also the rear defrost and wiper which requires the larger alternator.

I also added the single lever hydraulic disconnect for the loader with 8 ports and a two port one for the third function.
The dealer said they had never sold one before, but after seeing mine, they sell a lot of them now. I can literally install or remove the loader is less than 3 minutes.

I would also agree that the HST+ is the way to go for a general purpose tractor.

I bought it with the 4 in 1 bucket because it wasn’t much more than a plain bucket, and already had smooth and toothed buckets for the skid steer.

I bought a hydraulic top link from fit rite because of the quality, I use it all the time. I haven’t found the need for the hydraulic tilt, but I don’t do a lot of grading with the box scraper.

I think adding those options is a lot of work for the dealer, more that I would want to do myself, there is a lot of disassembly for the rear remotes, the third function valve isn’t a walk in the park either, especially fishing the lines through the loader frame.
I also added a third function valve guard from Paul Short at specialty repair and a grill guard I got from Messicks.

Just remember the extra money you spend now you will get back on the resale end of it. look at MX vs Grand L used prices. I could sell my L4740 for probably 15,000 more than I paid for it before covid. they are just investments. a place to park money for a while, be useful and sell after in some cases for a profit or atleast break even. I broke even on my first tractor and kept it for 10 years. do you want to be comfortable while using your tractor or do you want to wish you get the grand L every time you use your tractor.

Well thanks everyone for your comments and feedback. I have to decided to purchase the Grand L6060 with these options. Let me know what I am missing. Dealer has to order most items.

Block Heater, He told me it is a kubota branded heater, but no the CCV unit. Just plug it in like a Diesel truck
Rim Guard
Rear Wiper
Rear Defrost - not sure if I need the rear quarter glass defrosters
HD Altenator
Third Function for Grapple
3 Rear Remotes, 2 DBl Acting and 1 Float
HD Bucket with Cutting Edge ( Although they are trying to get me to use the standard bucket )
This unit has the R4's They claim that is all they sell and no need for R14's I originally wanted the R14's but he said it will be way more and no advantage

What do you think, I don't have any plans for a front mount Snow Blower so I didn't opt for the Mid PTO, do you think I should get it anyway?

Attatchments I will pick up elsewhere They seem to be so expensive from dealer. and I have no issue with used either.

So I will need:
Pallet Forks
72" Box blade
Root Grapple
Offset Flail mower
so any recommendations on those would be great.

I would STRONGLY suggest the single lever hydraulic disconnect for the loader.
