What sort of charge is it for a delivery from nanimo? I would have thought that would have took away any savings..... LOL

Yes. The guys (and girl) at Keating are great. I would have to dig up my invoice but my last project involved several lengths of 2x3x.125 sq tubing. There was at least $30 difference in price (per length). Emailed Russell Steel my list and they delivered for $60 When I was signing off on the paperwork I noticed the $13,000.00 order of punched HR plate for a local machine shop had free delivery. Lol

To easily make a bevel, cut the plate at the bevel angle and flip one piece over. Saves a lot if grinding and ensures a perfect bevel.

A band saw will cut bevels fairly easy.

Exactly! That's what I was trying to describe. You have no idea how many coupons I cut at 90 degrees and then ground a bevel onto before I thought of doing it this way.

Get friendly with your local welding/fabrication shops, Some may be willing to sell you their scrap pieces for scrap steel prices.
