bx 22 vs gs2310

Can any one help me compair the BX22 to the MF gs2310? or has any one had any experience with this MF?

thanks I am ready to make the plunge, my old IH 444 has played out and now I do not what to buy.

This will get me in trouble but here goes--let's see--the Kubota BX is made by Kubota with a Kubota engine and a Kubota transmission and a Kubota frame with a Kubota FEL all backed by Kubota's reputation. The MF is an attempt by a comapny on the skids to sell a few tractors--tractors made by who--with what engine and where did the transmission come from and who will provide parts 6 years from now and exactly what is MF's customer reputation with consumer goods? If I was buying a huge farm tractor I would get a MF without hesitation, when it comes to CUTs and such as that---KUBOTA. JD also markets a Yanamar built and rebadged tractor that seems very competitve with the BX and in this case is the result of a longtime partnership between two reputable companies with a long history in small tractors. It is the JD2210, hmmm, 2210, 2200. Shop between those two and the BX22TLB as well--forget the MF whatever, here today, gone tomorrow but I bet Kubota and JD will still be here 10 years from now when you need a part. Me--I like the orange one--but that is just me being my ornery self. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif J

The MF compares more to the BX2200 than the BX22. Keep in mind that the BX22 is a TLB machine with the BH and FEL standard. (And it's a wonderful tractor, personally speaking... /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif)

But I'll sort-of echo TresCrow's sentiments, albeit a little "softer". The MF machine is a newcomer to this tractor size. Even assuming the machine is well made and supported, it will require some more time to determine if it has staying power. I'll not discourage you from considering it, but be sure to put things over and above "features" on your evaluation list. Those include your dealer reputation and the manufacturer's standing in the marketplace. They are the reason that Kubota, Deere, New Holland and others sell so many tractors!

Thank you very much, I think I will stick with the kubota, may look at the NH. the JD dealers in this area have a take it or leave it attitude. But for everyones info the MF is coming out (in about three weeks) with a gs2310. this will have the FEL and Back Hoe, just to copy the BX22.

Haven't seen the GS 2310 but have seen several of the GC 2300. The only feature that
stands out is the slow turning large displacement engine 23 hp @ 2500 RPM, from 68 cu.in.
In all other ways it's very similar to the BX 2200.

The J.D. 2210 is a little heavier then a BX 2200 plus the engine is bigger an oriented
like on most other compact tractors but don't think it'll accomlish any more work
then a BX.

In my opinion the small tractor to watch is the Kioti CK 20. It's rated at 19 hp @ 2800 RPM.
It's bigger & heavier then any of the above but has allot of bell/whistle for a very
competitive price. It should be arriving at the dealer anytime now...

One thing the Kubota has them beat is it has been around for over 1 year now and there are lots of them out and about!

I researched the 2310 along with a bunch of other tractors. The local MF dealer would not even talk to me about ordering one. I ended up ordering a BX22 and am fairly certain from all the positve feedback I will be happy with it.
