BX 2200 LIFT ARM ADJUSTERS

Ah..., the missing ingredient to the mod (for me anyway). I could never quite understand where the cutting and grinding of the tube was needed. I've recently revisited this thread because, while I wanted to make the mod before, I now have to make the mod (or buy new parts for the old setup) as I have really made pretzels out of the threaded bars.
Thanks to all who helped. BTW, was that gray paint a Kubota P/N or ?

There is another way to beat this as the threaded rod can get the arms far tighter then the pin type of the bigger brothers B-2910 type.. I've been installing a quick clip pin in the back hole of that rod. When you want to install a machine you just flip over the clip and remove the pin and after hooking up put the pin back in and flip over the wire clip. Works sweet and only costs a couple of dollars.

Spray can of Kubota grey from the shelf of the Kubota dealer that carries the full line of Kubota products..... If you buy Kubota orange, get the Kubota Orange II for newer tractors. I vaguely remembering that there is another grey also, so check with the guys on the counter.....

Below are the Kubota part numbers for the two arm pieces you will need for the conversion. Prices were as of 12/22/07 at my local dealer.

2 ea 6C070-65333 Plate, Stab Arm @16.03 ea
2 ea 6C070-65320 Pipe, Stab Arm @16.03 ea

If you choose to replace the welded on attachment at the rear of the lower arm with the pivot type, you will also need the pivot bolt listed below. Stan

2 ea 6C070-65350 Bolt, Stab (pivot) @2.44 ea

Did you get the pivot bolts for the rear? If you did, how you going to hook the tube portion to the front on your BX24, will the parts #160 from the pic work since you have to remove your lift arms when you put on yor BH? Just curious, would be nice if it will work with the BX24.

I think Art is on the right track for a cheap solution to the turnbuckle issue. I also replaced the pin at the rear of the turnbuckle rod with a lynch pin that is quickly and easily removed to hook up an implement. I also keep a tarp strap from the lift arm to the turn buckle to keep it from turning and unwinding. I only have to take off the strap to adjust the turnbuckle and then rehook it when I have it adjusted to where I want it. I also keep the threads on the rods well lubricated so they turn easily. With the straps I don't have to worry about the lock nuts or use any wrenches at all. I recently bought a set of the Wiz Links, or whatever they are called, that makes hooking up much easier. I'm sure they are not as good as Pat's quick hitch, but for the money I have been satisfied. I bolted an electrical box on the top of my PTO shield to put the pins, clips and washers in when I unhook from something. A photo is attached.

Yes, I did buy the pivot bolts, but I am not going to use them. I just attached the solid bar to the OEM spacer plate with two 7/16" bolts and nylock nuts (Plate holes need to be drilled out slightly). On the rear, I slotted the tube on both sides 1-1/2" back to allow Them to pivot as needed on the existing attachment tab at the rear of the lower arms and used hitch pins at that point. Using the part #160 in the illustration would make attachment much more difficult than just using the OEM spacer plate. The whole operation took me about 30 minutes to set up and now using the quick hitch setup is a snap. Everything is setup for one size except my auger, which can't be altered, so a simple change of the pin placement will acomodate whatever implement I am hooking up to. I'll add some photos in a day or two, but it is similar to several others in this thread. This does make a very clean and functional setup for the BX series 3 points. Stan

BTW: The item #160 will cost more than both stabilizer arm halves ($38 each).
