Thanks to everyone that replied, the accumulated knowledge of men with tractors is something that still astonishes me, I love this forum! Brad

But like everything on the internet remember that EVERYONE is an expert. Take everything you read with a grain of salt.

Now if you get more then one answer one way or the other then that position might have some traction. But always do as much checking as you can before you start on a project you have questions about.

I was able to just replace the old drain bolt with a new one. That seems to be the easiest fix if it will work.

I had the same problem on my old BX 2200, and a new drain plug bolt was all it ook.

Kubota must be smart and make the bolts a tad softer.
