TOLLSTER,
Im a lumber mill rat by trade:)Ithought my true calling was getting splinters in my hands:D
Tom ,
Ibought the mirrors at advanced auto parts i think. They work good in the day light ,but id have to point the floods down a bit,to light up the sides of the blower,to use them much at night. The fan i got when i bought my heater, cant remember off hand, but you can by them about anywhere.
No need for dome light in this bad boy ,the front and rear floods are so bright ,i think i could read in this cab:)
Iused the blower for the first time tonight and im SO HAPPY,everything in this setup works so good.Only 4 inches of heavy frozen junk, that PUMA made quick work of it...well you know TOM,didnt you have one. With my plow truck, and walk behind blower ,i could easily use up two hours of my evening,i did it all with the tractor in 1/2 hour:pWe need more snow, ill have to blow it back in the driveway so i can practice some more:D
With my cab 6 inches wider than the floor ,im able to sit side saddle and turn my head just a little and back up,Iwas really comfortable:)Iput that handle in the cab exactly in the right place it was perfect.
After 10 minutes in the cab i stripped to a t-shirt,next time ive got to lose the long johns for sure.
If you cant find a fan ,ill look through my records and see where i got it.

Alan,

U are having way to much fun:D

Yes I had the Puma set up as u have before I went with the Kubota front blower set up.

No snow here:mad: BUT I tried the heater today, and it worked real nice I think I will be warm this winter. :D

I put the driveway markers out today, ran the extension cord to the shed and plugged in the block heater, cab on, blower on, topped off the fuel, I am ready for the white stuff.;) NOW we wait:(

Hey Alan, like I said on that "other" forum, Outstanding" build :D
I was going to say some smart-ellicky statement like "what is this snow you're talking about" when I actually encounted some yesterday while on a call up in the Great Smokie's. It wasn't laying on anything hard but the mountains sure looked pretty. It even followed me back down to the valley but didn't amount to anything.
Thought I was going to get another chance to atleast work my front blade for only the 2nd time ever in the snow......
You boys up in the great white north are haveing all the fun :D :D

HI DON,
The roof is the same one thats been on the tractor. Its a golf cart roof .Wouldnt know it now would ya?:D Its light weight ,but strong, isnt a flaw in it,and doesnt rattle like some metal roofed cabs ive used in fork lifts etc.I shaved alot of weight off the cab by using it .If i had to build another i would do the same.
ALAN
Hey DON,
How does that 1830 handle that 60 inch METEOR
?.Ialmost bought one ,but i couldnt pass up the deal i got on the PRONOVOST

Wow, beautiful job.
You remind me of me.... When I couldn't find a race trailer like I wanted...I built one, chassis and all....23' long, fully enclosed fifth wheel.

Where did you get the windows? (excuse me if I missed that info in the thread). Very nice windows.
I'm a metal fabricator by trade...and I would have been proud of that if I made it.

I say post the spec sheet. Metal type and gauge, welder used, approx weight, etc.

Heck...what's a little typing after all that work :)
