How do you all get Kubota Dealers to bargain? I am in the Central Virginia area and have contacted 4 dealers so far on a BX23 with bucket and 12" backhoe. So far the lowest I have been able to get anyone is $16300 plus $815 tax. This seems really high compared to what most of you seem to be paying.

I have bargained with many car dealers and have never had a problem getting them to deal, but....these dealers show no interest. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I am not being unreasonable and asking for the moon, just want a fair deal.

Also, would bar tires be better for the woods, I am not to worried about grass, but will occasionally drive across to spead mulch.

I feel your pain.
I am taking delivery today of a BX-23 with the 60" MMM, and shopped around also, expecting to find deals like were suggested earlier in this forum. The range that I experienced was 17.4K (which I'm buying) through 19.5K (nearby dealer, same guy who wanted ~18.5K for a used one with 100 hours and half worn tires). The vast majority of dealers wanted 17.5K - almost like collusion, that every phone call was 17.5K on the button.
Where I ended up in the deal was: 19.8K for BX-23 with 60"MMM and turf tires, extra set of tires/wheels in the bar tread and loaded, three hooks mounted to the bucket and painted to match and a 16' dual axle trailer. I asked the dealer about other prices I've seen in the forums, and he referenced the steal prices and end of year closeouts probably combined.

Don't bother with Byrd, they're coming in at over $18K. Everywhere here in Northern VA is $17.5K or above. Which dealer did you get the quote for $16.3K? That might be the deal.

Messicks is a 3 hour drive for me. Everyone in Virginia seems high. I want to find a dealer that sells around $15000. I don't need a MMM so that saves money. It seems that some are getting the tractor with MMM for $15500. If anyone knows of a dealer in Virginia please let me know.

Any more rumors on changes for 2006, I would love to wait, just don't think I can.

Got these prices on Monday from Central Maryland:
BX23- 14,800.00
12" Bucket- $396.00
60" MMM- $1,700.00

The BX is probably all I need (5 Acres) but I also got a price on a B3030:
3030- $14,500.00
FEL- $3,397.00
60" MMM- $2,000.00

I did get another quote about 2 months ago from another local kubota dealer for $14,400 for the BX23 and $1,700.00 for the 60"MMM.

Checked into the Kioti also:
CK30HST w/FEL- $14,500.

I'm still on the fence (and it's beginning to hurt).
