BX-23 Skid Plate?

Hi, Im new here great site. Just got my BX-23 and love it, only 5hrs so far. While clearing out brush the other with Mid mount mower off I hear a whining sound. I shut the tractor down looked under her and found a small stick in the hydro cooling fan also noticed a fuel filter and hose under there which I could have damaged. I was wondering if anyone has seen or made a skid plate that can be mounted to the mower lift brackets? If not Im going to attempt to make one. Also is it normal to have to hold the FEL control stick foward to stay in float? I run a big cat at work and the stick stays in float untill you pull it out.

If you search, someone posted maybe a year ago about making a skid plate. Had pics as well & hooked to the mower linkage. He bottomed out and poked an eye bolt on his skid plate into something (can't recall).

Think its a good plan, just watch for protrusions that would hurt the Bota.

My loader control stays in the forward float position without being held in place by hand. Mine is a BX22, so it might not be the same as the BX23.

I don't remember seeing a skid plate for the BX posted here, but one fellow did make a "guard" that went around the hydro filter.... Hydro filter guard post.....

A skid plate of some sort would certainly be an asset on the BX if you are going to take into rough, soft territory...

I tore a fuel line this weekend and wished for a skidplate. As for the FEL, My BX23 locks into the float position. Hopefully it is just something not adjusted correctly on yours.
