BX 24 Back Blade

I'm a new owner of a BX24 and am unsure what back blade to get. The dealer sells Land Pride and recommends the RB0560 ( 5 foot) rather than the RB1560 (5 foot). He feels the RB1560 is too heavy and more difficult to attach.

I'll be using the back blad for snow clearing and keep my FEL for heavy snow, etc. I'm in Nova Scotia and snow can get wet and heavy at times. Most snow fall is 6" to 12". My gravel driveway is 4000sq/ft with 150' on a slope down to the road. I also plan to use the back blade for my landscape project (spreading fill and topsoil over a 10 000 sq/ft area and may want to attach a rake.

Any advise or suggestions would be appreciated.

I'm looking for one too for my BX24. I want to deepen existing 'v-cuts' in some hayfields and also maintain some road.
I think it would be worthwhile to get something that tilts (manual tilt would be cheaper). Other than that, 5' is about the limit for the bx24. Not sure about the weight issues.

Personally, I would think the added weight (248 vs. 143 pounds)would be an aid in snow clearing and ground engaging tasks.

I use a Woods RB60 with a B7610 that weighs 235 pounds. I find it is easy to attach. It is still light enough to muscle it around a little to get the lower arms hooked up (my 495 pound box scraper is a little tougher).

I live in Maine and my area saw about 13-14 feet of snow this year and this combination served me well.

Course it could be debated that a snowblower would be more efficient for you, but that depends on your budget as well.

Your BX will handle either one well. I also have a Woods RB60 which I use infrequently on the back of my BX2200 but handling it is no problem.

You will want to use a shorter toplink. I bought a Tisco.
