BX 3 or 4 way valve

Been speaking to a couple dealers regarding the purchase of a BX22. During discussions of the 3-way vs. 4-way loader valves, one dealer used the word "floppy" to describe loader action sometimes with the 4-way valve. He said he doesn't like the 4-way valve. The second dealer seemed to concur with that description but did not put as much weight on it. Anybody care to comment on this "floppy" condition?

I can't see a need for the 4-way as I will continue to use my Cub(s) to plow snow or do grading. So I would lean toward the 3-way, if this is really an issue. BX22 currently available and next shipments appear to all be equipped with 4way valves. Thanks C

Thanks kubmech. I read the post a while back/w3tcompact/icons/blush.gif and the point about the front implements was the only thing my brain chose to store. The info about the bucket action was promptly deleted/w3tcompact/icons/eyes.gif.

It sounds to me like there is not a "problem" with the 4-way. It appears to me the dealer with the dislike for the 4-way doesn't have a good understanding of the proper use of the detent position.

I'll take my tractor with whichever valve is on it and not worry about it. Thanks again. C

I got the 4 way on my BX and the three way on the 2410--why--just cuz. I wish I had bothered to get the dealer to install a four way on the 2410. I like having the second quicker dump position of the 4 way and miss it on the 2410. Guess I will do without. J
