It's getting difficult to find the BX2763A front blade and frame for my 70-Series tractor, and used ones are either gone before they are posted, or are too far to make the drive worth it.
Knowing I'll likely trade to an 80-Series down the road, I'm wondering if anyone has put an 80-Series front blade on a 70-Series.
I know they work in reverse (70 on an 80) except for issues preventing the 80-Series hood from opening and the switch out of the hydraulic couplers, but has anyone put the latest blade on a 70-Series?
I can't see any issues except the fact of needing pioneer couplers to replace the flat faced couplers, the quick hitch frame pushing out the blade further to accommodate the hood (on the 80), and that's it. Just hoping someone has taken the plunge before.

Don't give up on the 70 series blade quite yet. I looked high and low for a sweeper and found one in Michigan, had it shipped to Maine via common carrier for less than $200.

I haven't given up. I found one, but it's only $400 less than a new one. Then I take 15 hours of driving and $175 in fuel, and think I'll just buy a new one if I can. The same applies for a bagger. Can't find a used one. Just hard to find.

I went through the same thing with a sweeper, until I found a very nice one a bit more than half the price of a new one. However, I searched for over a year until I found it. During that time I found prices all over the place on those things. I ended up with a used sweeper from a dealer (Ginop Sales, Williamstown MI). They wanted $1400, I called and offered $1200 and they took it, which was a little more than half the price of new. I wire-transferred the money, and they did a nice job of attaching it to a double-wide pallet for no extra charge. Shipping via Yellow Freight was $189 if memory serves me, which still made it a good buy. Took a week to get here. I only use it in the spring, but when I need it it's well worth it.

If you're looking for the stock bagger, I wouldn't bother. The homeowner's association next door to me has one for their BX2360 and they've been trying to get me to buy it for a couple of years. Fills up too fast, renders the three point unuseable when it's on, and is just a general nuisance.

Yes, the 70 blade fits the 80. You just need to remove the grill guard.

Yeah, I said in my original post, I already know the 70 fits an 80. It was putting the 80 on a 70. That said, I found a BX2763A got my BX2670. If I trade someday, I'll worry then. Thanks for responding.
