Mark, do you have any photos of your tiller dolly? I'm planning to make one soon and need ideas.

Here is my first attempt.
DSCN1960.JPG

The stick between the arm wheels is temp. I am going to replace it with a 1X1 angle or 3/4 inch threaded rod.

Just tacked in place for now.

If anyone thinks dollys are a waste of time, there are four implements, FEL, Snowblower, weight ballast box and 50" tiller in 6X9 foot print.

DaveNH,
I can private message you so I am answering you here.
The brace between the arm wheels would be removable to allow the arms to be raised.

Woodstock,

What size casters are you using? The biggest mistake I made building mine was using too small casters. They don't roll or swivel very well. My Backhoe dolly has either 4" or 5" super duty casters and I can literally push it around with a finger. Some day I'll fix my other dollies so they work as well.

The dollie wheels are 4 inch.
Here is my second attempt at a FEL Dollie. This is Part 1.
I haven't figured out part 2 yet.
DSCN2025.JPG

It consists of a 4 by 4, 1/4 inch thick plate with a 1/2 by 1/2 square stock providing separation between the plate and the wheels to allow for a friction fit on the bucket.

I just don't understand the need for a dolly after thinking about it. You position the loader where you want it to be and take it off. When you need it, you put it back on in the same position you took it off. It hasn't gone anywhere and it doesn't need any adjusting, you just slowly drive into it. Ya'll must have some serious time on your hands to be making a dolly for a loader.....Now the 3PT implements I can fully understand!

Any ideas on making a dolly for a PHD? Extremely difficult to get on/off, even with help. It heavy, bulky, and sharp! I've got two bruised fingers and a cut on my leg to show for it... /w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif

Thanks,
