Does anyone know if a bx22 grill guard can be purchased for a bx 2200? I think the bx22 design is sweet! I do have a concern that it does not provide protection for the top headlights and hood like the old one. Anyone with experience on both?
I was told that it would fit the BX2200 - I too would be concerned about it not covering the lights and plastic light cover although the old style doesn't provide lots of protection for the lights either. My 3 year old cracked the plastic light cover on my BX2200 - he was trying to be helpful by sweeping the garage floor and backed the end of the handle into the lens cover. Amazingly to the parts manager and me, that lens cover only cost $16.50 - we both expected it to be around $50. Just never know.
Interesting question. The BX2200 <font color=orange>orange</font color=orange> style was not included with the FEL and needed to be purchased. The rep told me the new silver BX22 grill was included. I would think you could order the new style grill as a replacement part but may have a hard time getting one as they are new and shipping with BX22s. That may also be a problem finding someone who has used both as the BX22 is just shipping now.
Stopped by local dealer tonight.
He said that he's been trying to order some for a while now with no luck. I think Kubota is struggling to get the BX22s to the dealers let alone extra parts.
They should be easier to get in a few months.
