One looks like a mulching blade, but the other just a conventional standard blade.
The mulching blade looks to have some 'high' cutters to chop up cut grass as they rotate. Not sure how effective either are for mulching, but likely there are some test results somewhere.

I understand there is a need for the downdraft along with the lift to stir up the clippings and mulch them up finer before letting them 'escape', in hopes that the clippings are as small as possible. That appears it would be accomplished by the mulching blade, IMO.
Do you know how they work as mulching blades?

Thanks for the pics! I had already ordered the kit last week, but its still neat to see it ahead of time.
How do the baffles work into the equation? From the other posts i've read, it sounds like a decent setup (if you dont overwork it).
The std blades do a great job, but there isnt any lingering! Cut and GONE into a fan of hay... Hopefully the mulch kit will help out some.

The mulching setup for the 60" deck does well at grinding the clippings up, you should be satisfied on this part. On my particular lawn of half St Augustine and half Bermuda, it does not leave as smooth of a finish cut as what the standard blades did. The 54" mulching deck I used to have did a better job. Although it is not total crap, I am disappointed with the final cut now on the 60" deck. Maybe you will have better results than I have had.
Anybody have a good close-up pic of some Gator blades even for a different make tractor? I'm interested in seeing the amount of area for the downdraft versus the amount of lift to compare against this sucky Kubota mulching blade.
