Mowing BX Mower - WOW!

I posed this question on another thread - no response. So, let's try it here. What is the cutting height range for the 60" MMM. I.E., How short can you cut the grass? I have a Bermuda lawn that should be cut rather short (2") and occassionally is supposed to be scalped. Can the 60" MMM mounted on a BX22 do this?

I haven't tried cutting really short yet, but the 60" MMM on the BX2200/22 is adjustable from 1" to 4" in 1/2" increments. Here in Minnesota, I usually mow at 3". In the fall I mow at about 2". That way the leaves just blow across the lawn and end up in the woods. It works pretty well.I also am really impressed with the 60" MMM mowing capability. I just got my BX2200 last November. The past few weeks it finally got warm enough here for the grass to grow. That BX really does a great job cutting. It's a far better cut that I used to get with my Crafstman 42", and yet I can cut just as small a circle. The boomerang motion control makes it really easy to work forward and backward quickly to cut around tight spots, and the hydrostatic steering makes that task a breeze.I just performed my "50 hour" service. But I accumulated 64 hours on it since November. Kind of sneeked up on me. I hadn't realized I've been using it so much. It saw a lot of snow plowing this winter, and has proven to be an essential tool for cleanlng horse stalls. It's great to drive right up the aisle, load stall debris into the FEL bucket, and haul it out to the pile. It also worked really well this spring loading and pulling my little Mill Creek spreader to get rid of the winter's manure pile.I'm glad I bought it.

I also was surprised at how well the bx 60" MMM performs even around trees, it easy to mow close to them. The traction and quality of cut exceeds that of my front mount Grasshopper. Don't hesitate to get this machine, with the FEL it has a big tractor feel in a small, maneuverable package.
