Ok, something in the tank...that's the other thought the dealer had. Scares the heck out of me. What with the canopy, lights and all, it sounds like that's gonna be a heck of a job. Did you do it or pay a dealer? How did you clean out the tank?

I did the work myself but this was not on my Kubota, a different tractor.
Unscrewed the petcock and with one hand/finger stuck in the hole (reminded me of the boy with his finger in the hole on the dam) handed the petcock to a friend and there was the piece of straw.
One more thing, It was not fun!

Had almost the identical problem but not with my new BX. After 2 new fuel pumps, cleaning fuel lines, etc I gave up and sold it. New owner told me how great it ran once the leaf debris was removed from the fuel tank.

I did disconnect the hose from the tank to the first filter (before the fuel pump) They aren't cheap though...$115, and a special order to boot....

You eliminated the filter and the $115 fuel pump, I still think I'd try replacing the $5 fuel filter again before the high dollar pump.

Well, when it was having the problem, I did loosen the cap, no change. Also, all my safety's have been bypassed. (Please, no flames on this...I KNOW the potential issues with doing this.I need to be able to run the hydraulics, etc without me sitting on the tractor)

One thing I did notice when i drained the tank...I started to do this by disconnecting the hose at the last filter going into the fuie injection pump, it barely dribbles out, even with the fuel pump on. I did disconnect the hose from the tank to the first filter (before the fuel pump) and it seemed to flow nicely, as it should from a 3/8" hose without a pump. So, does anyone know how much pressure the fuel pump SHOULD pump out? should it have been dribbling out, or should it have some pressure behind it? I'm beginning to think it's something that my dealer says is unheard of...a bad fuel pump. He says he's NEVER replaced on on the BX series.
They aren't cheap though...*$115, and a special order to boot....
Not as bad as the*$137.oo fuel pump I bought for my 1992 Toyota pickup last week.

Has anyone ever pulled the fuel line off the engine with the fuel pump running to see how much pressure is output from the pump? I'm really suspicious...since mine has a trickle, but maybe that's normal???

I had a similar problem with the same model. After I changed both filters a second time, the problem was gone. The first change didn't eradicate all the water in the system.
