Bx replacement

I have finally been given permission by She who must be obeyed to look at replacing my BX2230. She said if I give up smoking I can look for a new tractor,so give up the smokes I would like a bigger Kubota but the local dealer is an a#*@^hole, doesnt want to know unless I am a member of the heavy checkbook set or a big cane grower. If I wanted 150+hp no worries but anything else,well.. forget it. I haven't contacted other dealers yet but will do. Any and all suggestions will be much appreciated.

My original Kubota dealer was great but when we moved and I went to the local dealer the reception was very cool, they wouldn't even return my phone calls !!!!!!! so go further afield and hopefully get some satisfaction, or go to another brand of tractor.

I have a Kubota B3300SU tractor/loader package. Thirty-three engine hp / twenty-five PTO hp. The "B" series is Kubota's next larger increment and the B3300 is the largest machine in the "B" category. The B3300SU does NOT have a mid-PTO point, which is primarily for lawn mowers. Instead you get more HP in a larger frame, category 1 / 3-Pt and increased ground clearance. The B3300SU packages the tractor and Kubota's LA504 together at a competitive price.

It would be pretty simple to price this all-up package with other Kubota distributors.

If you are seeking 50% more power and FEL capability this may be a the package for you. The only "extras" I have are the factory Drawbar@$49 and Ken's bolt-on Grab Hooks mounted on the bucket. I have been very happy with my B3300SU @ 262 hours.

Actually, most "B" models do indeed come with mid-PTO and mid mount mowing decks. There are a few, such as the 3300 that do not, of course.

Hey Aussie, If they don't even return your calls, they are not reliable. I would not even deal with jerks like that. Why not try another dealer... too far away? Heck, you may just want to try another brand then. Good luck.

Looks like you are right gumshu, even though I like kubota, what's the point if I can't get service etc. We have JD and case IH, I haven't contacted them as yet but will do so this week,could be interesting,will keep you posted. Thank you all for your support re the ciggies,so far so good, but it's been a bit tough but I'm NOT giving in to it, a new tractor will be much more fun than those bloody things.

Loudo, you seem to be willing to look at other brands, so it is mainly a matter of matching a tractor to your needs. What dealers are within a reasonable distance from you and what are the things you use your tractor for?

I started off years ago wanting to upgrade from my Farmtrac to either a Green or Japanese Orange tractor. After my own research and wading thru the information I found here in TBN, I went to the other Orange a few weeks ago. For what it's worth, I'm very pleased with it so far in terms of it's capabilities, ease of use, features, and dealer.

May not be a choice you are interested in, but half the fun of getting a new Tractor is checking out what's available and planting your rear-end in the seats for a test drive. Good luck on your "hunt" :thumbsup:

If you're looking at JD2000(larger) series , be aware that
front wheel drive engagement problems are still unresolved ; do your
research. You don't have to buy local . Just because you may do so
doesn't mean you'll get served well .
