My 1999 BX2200 has a dynamo, low amps & my 2006 BX24 has the 40 amp alternator. The best way is to open the hood & see if you have a unit that looks like the ones on small cars, you have the alternator. dynamo.jpgalternator.jpg

Kk thanks! Will have a look. Mine is a 2009 Kubota BX 25, so I probably have the 40 amp alternator.

There were still some dynamo's in 2008, kind of weird Kubota was using the dynamo on BX23's the alternator was an optional upgrade, but BX 24's came standard with the alternator.

Have a cropcare elec sprayer w/ 12 ' boom, never bothered to connect to tractor elec system , use the deep cycle batt from trolling motor, never went dead, recharge after use. Important to remove suction hose from tank after use and connect to a water supply with backcheck valve. Flush chemicals from motor after use or price the cost of replacement motor. Many sprayers come with spot sprayer hose. The spray nozzle/valve is usually low quality. Suplus center has nice HD replacement.

Well I purchased the Fimco 40 gallon sprayer today, sort of. Got to Wilco Farm Store who advertised the Fimco 40 gallon on their website. They bring out a Wilco branded blue sprayer instead, its made by Fimco, looks the same except for a slightly smaller pump 1.8 gpm vs 2.1 gpm.

You will notice the decreased pump performance. My cropcare pump is 3 gpm.

Have a Fimco 40 gallon I carry in the bed of my RTV which probably has less alternator than your tractor. Once sprayed continually for a day, pump on all the time mixing while I was filling or else spraying. Never depleted battery. Never even thought of that until you started this thread.

I ran mine to the accessory wires located behind/under seat. Put a push button switch on the cup holder to turn it on and off. 16 gallon from Northern tool. The spray is alot harder with the rpms up than at idle. 1523428137832.jpg
